I have been so pleased by the work of the poplar location this summer. This was my first time ever getting a tanning membership. Olivia helped me start my plan, get the lotion that was best for me, and she helped me not get burned!!!!! Every time I walk in I am greeted and I am always helped. Their positivity helps my day.

My only complaint is the 24 hour rule that can’t be overridden by a few minutes. I tan immediately after work and only on my work days. If i am delayed a minute or minutes, my tanning must be delayed the next day also. Or, if it’s too much time, I would have to skip my session until the next day. I understand only being allowed to tan once a day but to the minute 24 hours is ridiculous. I believe there should be a window of a couple of hours, or a few minutes at least.

Last year I dreaded coming in, the manager and staff were not professional or genuinely friendly. This year it’s a new group mostly and they are super nice and eager to see the customer. No gossiping about us when you close your tanning room door.

I absolutely love Brittany (the manager) at the East Memphis Poplar location and one or MAYBE two of the girls that work at her store. The tanning beds from level 1 to level 4 including the stands up bed, the versa spa and the mystic are ALL AWESOME, CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED! once or twice a month I would receive a free upgrade ( I have a level 3 membership) which help me Maximize a darker natural looking tan in a short time. And as thrifty as I am the 3 times I have indulged in products sold there , specifically tanning lotion, scented candle, and my new love CITY LIPS LIP GLOSS , have been with every single penny ! I am av real person, I DO NOT work for Palm Beach, I have not been asked by anyone personally to leave a review, this is 100% my honest opinion based on my experience at the Poplar and Perkins location. THE ONLY THING I DO NOT LIKE..... lol, is the 24 hour rule, meaning if I tan at 3pm Monday and I come in at 2pm Tuesday to tan I get turned around unable to tan because "it hasn't been 24 hours yet" so if ur schedule changes on a day to day basis just make sure u tan at a time that will be convenient for you to do everyday

The store has not had triple island bronzer for the spray tanning for weeks and I do not get the color I like with other bronzers. This is a disappointment, because this is the second time the store has run out of triple island bronzer within the last few months. I use the store at least once per week on average.

Why is it extra for the darker tone even when purchasing an unlimited spray tan package? Makes NO sense. This makes me want a refund really badly. The girls in the shop, however, are so nice and sweet, and I don't want to take away from their paychecks by requesting a refund because of a cheap company. AGAIN, The service is amazing and it's too bad the employees have to answer to upset customers because of the company nickel and diming their guests for darker shades, that's the point of getting a spray tan in the first place. RIGHT? RIGHT. Furthermore, WHY WOULD A COMPANY offer spray tans that turn their clients orange [medium spray solution] complementary with the spray tan unlimited package? People are going to ask, "Where did you go?" and now I have to explain WTF happened and where I went etc. etc. This is just all wrong and really bad, bad, bad marketing.So, if yall are seriously going to charge $6 and change for a darker solution you better be paying your employees VERY well. MOOD: FEELING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF; NOT COOL. THE DARKER SHADE SHOULD BE COMPLEMENTARY WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE UNLIMITED TAN PACKAGE &/OR IF THE COMPANY WANTS TO BE THAT CHEAP THEY SHOULD JUST INCLUDE IT IN THE PRICE OF THE PACKAGE.<END OF RANT>

The “girls” are seem “upity” and busy talking rather than taking care of guests.... they’re definitely not approachable... bed 7 the facial tanner doesn’t work and hasn’t since I’ve been there... also and maybe I’m just being extra BUT the OPEN light is NEVER on especially at night.. I always look up the hours before heading up there. Other than that the place is always clean and orderly.

PBT has great beds, amazing lotion and a wonderful staff. I am an out of state student and they are able to pause my account while I am away at home for breaks which is great. 10/10 reccomend tanning here!.

I have been tanning with you all for years. I generally have a good experience when I come into the salon. For the past few years, though, now I have been treated very rude when I decline buying lotions and other products. I personally do not like to be pushed into buying something (especially when I am already paying quite a bit per month to tan). I have been considering canceling my membership bc of this. Typically when I decline lotion the attitude of the employee completely changes and they are no longer nice. I have had a few instances where an employee continues to drill me and question me (very rudely) when I say no thank you. I should not be hounded after I give my answer and to be honest I should not be asked every single time I come in if I want lotion. I am aware of the benefits to the lotions but not everyone can afford to drop a few hundred dollars on lotion. I have no idea if these girls work off of some kind of commission if I buy products but I can assure you I will not purchase any lotions if I continue to be treated like this. Passive aggressiveness and being straight up rude is not my idea of customer service.

Love palm beach tan but I’ll be honest. If I hadn’t had the package from tan n go before they bought them out there is no way i would pay pbt rates for the one bed I like to use. The matrix bronzing bed without the bad uv rays is awesome. Great customer service every time I visit too.

The young man is excellent. Quick and helpful.. Like tanning is supposed to be. But please let me know about me and my boyfriends rewards... .its been almost 2 years and we never stopped paying even tho we didn't go for months, and it says the longer you stay the better the rewards! ..well my boyfriend and I have to ask and no one knows how that works after the first year

Staff is amazing... Beds are great. The mandatory 24 hour wait period stinks. Even if you tan at 8 pm and again the next morning at 8 am, you would then have to wait until the next day to tan again. I hate that sometimes I get off work later and that affects whether or not I tan that day or the next. Just my two cents...

The staff are awesome, Kelly is amazing! The beds are great. Only complaint I have is the radio does not work in many rooms and there is one bed I think room 5 that has the face bulbs(round rotating) that has a couple out all the time and yesterday 5 bulbs were out.

I went to the Laurelwood location in Memphis, TN this past week and had a WONDERFUL experience with a sales associate named Mackenzie. She went above and beyond from the check in, explaining different offers and promotions that were available to me to helping me use a level 4 tanning bed for the first time. She showed me all of the bed features to have the best experience possible. I truly appreciate her attitude and willingness to make my customer experience relaxing and helpful. Will be back!

The Versa Spa spray tan seems to always be broken at the Germantown Parkway location in Cordova,TN. I live closer to the Bartlett location, however they do not have the Versa Spa. It is very frustrating to travel furher away for a machine that is rarely available.

I went to tan for the first time this season & found out that my monthly package had not cleared the bank back in December. They never called to let me know that it didn't clear nor did they even email me. They let me tan the day I went in but they say I have to pay the month it didn't go through before I can tan again. What??? I have been paying EVERY MONTH all the winter & haven't gone to tan all winter. So now I can't tan until I can pay December's payment not to mention I have the highest tanning package they offer so it comes out of my checking account every month. So now I have to come up with the mi they payment twice in one month or I can't tan all summer! I am a very unhappy customer!! ??

I like the people working there, they are awesome. But since you closed four salons that were servicing the area, the wait times here have gotten out of control. That's my only gripe, I travel and use PBT all over the country, and never see the extended wait times that I see at this location. If you would have just re-branded some of the other salons, the service here could be better handled.

There's just not enough beds. Since you purchased and closed Tan N Go, everyone's going to this one store and it's always a wait for just about any time you walk in. Other than that, the people are great, knowledgeable and helpful.

It was kinda late whenever I arrived at this location and at night I'm very cautious of the areas I'm in, considering we are in Memphis. This location was what seemed to be more safe than others. Don't misunderstand me when I say this location because I'm not referring to the facility itself but the area as a whole. I absolutely love these beds, I call mini space crafts!

The salon and the girls are very nice. I'm not happy that my account shows a balance when I cancelled my account 3 years ago. They assured me it would be removed but I was ask again yesterday about the balance. Also I had a coupon for a free week but since I was in the system I could not use it.

Always pleasant people, very clean and tidy. My only complaint is cost. My plan (platinum?) costs me $102.00 a month which seems pricey. Also, even with discounts the products are cost prohibitive. Employee product knowledge, however, is great.

Julia was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the tanning beds they offer and the different types of lotions. She answered all of my questions and made me feel very cared for. She also picked the amount of time I should tan based on my skin color which is another reason why I felt so cared for. She is absolutely amazing.

The tanning experience was great, but I feel like I was pushed into buying lotions and packages that I didn't necessarily want. I was told that I can't tan without lotion. I was told that I was going to damage my skin, that I haven't tanned correctly before, etc.

Every single location I've been to in Memphis is amazing. At a tanning salon, it's easy to brush off guests and not engage, but the staff at PBT is always welcoming. Not only do they offer quick help, they know their stuff. They also recommend great products they see I may be interested in. I love it here!
